Pesach 5776

Shalom everyone!

Our Temple Beth Shalom Passover Seder for 5776 will be held this Saturday, April 23rd at St. Timothy's Church, 401 Fir Street in Brookings.  The seder is a pot luck and will begin at 4:00 p.m.  Those who wish to help set up can show up at 2:00 pm.  Much thanks to Vivian for securing the location for us and calls have been made to coordinate the food for the pot luck dinner after the seder.  If you have not been contacted about what to bring, please call the Temple number posted on the blog or call Jill or Vivian.  I also want to mention that in addition to food items, a $5.00 contribution will be collected from each person to offset other costs of the seder.  Also, this year's seder will be BYOW (Bring Your Own Wine).  As you know, we are commanded to drink multiple cups of wine during the course of the seder and so each one is being afforded the "opportunity" to drink the wine of his or her choice.

Unfortunately, Rabbi Les will not be conducting the seder this year.  Beside his recent medical issues, his son is visiting from Israel so, Les will be enjoying the seder with family.  In all probability, Jill and I will be "leading you out of Egypt".
I look forward to seeing you at this year's Passover seder!

B'shalom,

   - Marty
