April Shabbat and Pesach

Shalom all,

Shabbat services for April will be held this Friday, April 8th in the Curry Coastal Pilot conference room in Brookings and will begin at 7:00 p.m.  Please enter through the double red doors at the rear of the building on Art Walk Alley.

On Saturday, April 9th, we will continue our class "The Torah - Inconsistencies and Survival" based upon two books - "The Book of J" and "The Jew in the Lotus".  Class on Saturday will also be held in the Curry Coastal Pilot conference room in Brookings beginning at 10:00 a.m.  There is still time to participate and you won't want to miss it.  Class fees are $50/person (or $5/class) and are based on a ten session course.

Our Temple Beth Shalom Passover Seder for 5776 will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at St. Timothy's Church, 401 Fir Street in Brookings.  The seder is a pot luck and will begin at 4:00 p.m.  Those who wish to help set up can show up at 2:00 pm.  Much thanks to Vivian for securing the location for us and she will be calling to coordinate the food for the pot luck dinner after the seder.  More about this as the day approaches.

And, once again, I'd like to remind folks that Temple activities don't come without a cost and if one values what Temple Beth Shalom has to offer, financial support is necessary.  While we never turn people away for lack of funds, we expect and appreciate support at the rate of $150 per person or $300 per couple for the year 5776.  If you are fortunate to be able to give more, that generosity is greatly appreciated.

I look forward to seeing you at Shabbat services and/or class.

B'shalom,

  - Marty
