Shalom everyone,
As many of you know, Rabbi Les has been having medical issues and has just returned from Stanford, where he has been getting diagnosis and advice on a course of treatment. Tonight he called and expressed regret that he just does not have the energy to make the drive to Crescent City for Friday night's Shabbat service and Saturday's class. After exploring options for another weekend, we decided it would be best to just cancel our March service and class and continue on the second Shabbat in April. I will update the congregation as the time approaches as to where our April Shabbat will take place.
Also, a reminder to save Saturday, April 23rd for our Temple Beth Shalom Passover Seder to be held at 4:00 p.m. at St. Timothy's Church in Brookings. Vivian will be coordinating food for the potluck dinner after the seder and I will be updating the congregation as the time approaches.
So, once again, Rabbi Les expresses his deep regret that he is unable to make this Shabbat and we wish him all the very best in his recovery to good health.
B'shalom,
- Marty
