Shalom all,

Another good turnout for Yom Kippur services with a minyon attending both for Kol Nidrei services and for morning services the following day.  It's been a joy to see the engagement of our little congregation these past two years.

This weekend, we continue with our regular Shabbat services and our class, Jewish Sacred Texts, after a break for the high holy days.  This will be just the second class of ten so anyone who would like to participate, can certainly join us at this early stage.  Classes are $5/class or $50 for the ten class session.  The text for the class is called, "Back To The Sources: Reading The Classic Jewish Texts"  and can be purchased on Amazon for $13.83 plus shipping.

Services and the class this weekend will be in Brookings and, as usual, will be held in the Curry Coastal Pilot conference room at 507 Chetco Avenue in Brookings.  Please enter thru the red double doors at the rear of the building off Art Walk Alley.  Time for services on Friday, October 24th is at 7:00 p.m. and our class will be on Saturday, October 25th at 10:00 a.m.

Once again, I want to remind those who have yet to contribute to membership dues or class fees, we expect your support in the amount of $150/person or $300/couple for the year 5775.  We never turn people away for lack of funds but if you are lucky enough to be able to give more, that too, is appreciated.  Thank you all for your generosity and support.

Here's hoping to see another great turnout for our October Shabbat services and class.

B'shalom,

  - Marty Grodin
