The Story of Joseph

We will come together to worship shabbat again this Friday night at 7 P.M. at the temple, 956 J Street in Crescent City. Rabbi Joe Hample, the Jewish chaplain at Pelican Bay State prison, has volunteered to lead services.

Torah study continues Saturday from 4:30 to 6 P.M. at the temple. This week we study Vayeshev, Genesis 37:1-40:23. This is the beginning of the story of Joseph. We also read the story of Tamar, the daughter-in-law of Judah.

Chanukkah begins on Tuesday night, December 20, and continues for eight days, ending at sunset December 28. 

Plans are underway for a Chanukkah latke (potato pancake) party on Saturday afternoon, December 24. Details will be available as final arrangements are made.
