This Week At Beth Shalom: Chanuka Approaches

We will celebrate Shabbat with our weekly service at 7 P.M. Friday at the temple, 956 J Street in Crescent City.

Torah study continues this Saturday from 4:30- 6 P.M. with Vayishlach, Genesis 32:4- 36:43. Jacob reunites with Esau, and later we learn about Jacob's  daughter, Dina.

Chanuka is coming soon! Always beginning the 25th of Kislev, this year we light the first candle on December 20. The holiday runs through dusk on December 28. This year, Jill Munger has offered to host a latke party at her home on Saturday, December 24. Contact her to offer to help, e-mail us at delnortebethshalom@gmail.com or send a note to Beth Shalom, P.O. Box 1557, Crescent City, CA 95531. We are also looking for comments, suggestions, offers to lead services or plan a program, and donations.

Local photographer Aimee Bolender is selling Chanuka greeting cards with a Crescent City theme. You can reach her at AimeeBolender@aol.com. Her website is http://www.AimPhotography.info.

Have a great week!
