We will meet again, well after the official start of Shabbat, at 7 PM Friday night to conduct our sabbath service, at the temple 956 J Street in Crescent City.
Saturday morning, our Rabbi, Les Scharnberg, will be with us for a Shabbat morning service, complete with Torah service and study. It would be great if we could have a minyan (10 people) for this special service. We will have an informal lunch out with the rabbi after services at a location to be decided.
There will be services and Torah study next week (November 19 and 20) but not Thanksgiving weekend, November 26 and 27. Services will resume December 3, and our gala Chanukkah fest is being planned for December 4, Saturday evening, for the whole family.
We have some articles for the newsletter, to be issued around Chanukkah. If you would like to write an article, let me know at delnortebethshalom@gmail.com. Also let me know if you would like to lead a Friday night service.
