Chanukkah!

Chanukkah, no matter how you spell it, starts around 5 PM tomorrow, Wednesday, December 1. Our holiday shabbat service will be Friday at 7 at the temple, 956 J Street in Crescent City. Please join us.

Torah study is suspended again this week, as we prepare for our latke-fest and party. The reading for the week is Miketz, Genesis 41:1- 44:17. The Joseph story continues from Pharaoh's dreams to Joseph's confrontation with his brothers. The haftarah for Chanukkah is Zechariah 4:1-7.

The party will be Saturday evening from 5 to 8 at the Crescent City Coast Guard Auxiliary, 150 Marine Way. We are providing latkes. Children are encouraged to come. Bring a potluck dish to share. Details on whom to contact about the potluck will be online by tomorrow.

Have a wonderful Chanukah season. I hope to see everyone at services and at our party.
