Shalom all,
The new year of 5776 is nearly upon us so I would like to remind everyone of the schedule for the high holidays and beyond.
Erev Rosh Hashanah begins this coming Sunday, September 13th. Services will be held at the Temple in Crescent City, 956 "J" street, beginning at 7:00 p.m. and will be conducted by Rabbi Les Scharnberg. Morning services on Rosh Hashanah, will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14th and will be followed, as is customary, by Taschlich at the "B" street pier in Crescent City.
Erev Yom Kippur services will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22nd at the Temple in Crescent City and on Wednesday, September 23rd, morning services for Yom Kippur will begin at 10:00 a.m., also at the Temple in Crescent City.
Our regular Shabbat services and classes will begin on the second Shabbat of October in Brookings and will alternate between Brookings and Crescent City on the second Shabbat of each month. We will need to find a topic for our next set of classes so if you have any ideas or special wishes for a class, bring those ideas to high holiday services for discussion by the congregation.
I hope you have all had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to a sweet new year with your fellow congregants.
B'shalom,
- Marty Grodin
