Hope you are all having a good week!
Temple Beth Shalom will host a Sabbath service this Friday
night March 8th at 7:00 at the Curry Coastal Pilot building on Chetco ave.
in Brookings. Services will be led by Rabbi Les Scharnberg. Please POUND on the
red doors if they appear locked. The deadbolt is fussy.
Saturday March 9th is the fifth Kabalah class at 11:00. The
very well attended and fabulous class starts at 11:00 A.M at the Pilot
building. Reminder not to block their parking, but please park on the street.
This facility appears to be working well for us!
Roger Getlin and I met with Wild Rivers market yesterday to
place a Passover order that included Matzo, Matzo meal and soup packet,
chocolate chip macaroons, gefiltte fish, a chocolate cake mix, and hopefully
they will find the beet horseradish. Please try and support them. We would hate
for them to be "stuck" with alot of kosher for Passover food after
the holiday.
Once again, a special thank you to Rabbi Les for leading a
beautiful funeral service for member Teddy Raffal last Friday afternoon. The
family was very happy at the compassion and quality that the Rabbi had. We are
lucky indeed to have him!
See you all THIS weekend,
