Further update

Things have been in a state of flux regarding Jim's funeral.  Therefore, the new arrangements are to have a service at the W J Ward Memorial Cemetery chapel in Brookings at 1:30 pm this Saturday, August 25th.  Rabbi Les Scharnberg will officiate.  Following the service and walk to graveside, there will be a social gathering at the Curry Coastal Pilot community room.  The address of the cemetery is 1035 7th St; Brookings, Oregon 97415. (directions to follow) The address of the Pilot building is 507 Chetco Avenue in Brookings (enter the red doors at the rear of the building).  I hope that everyone will make a strong effort to join us on Saturday to pay our respects to Jim and in support of his wife, Vivian.

Directions to the W J Ward Memorial Cemetery:

Once you have crossed the bridge into Brookings, take a right turn at the Oak Street signal light.  This is across from the Dairy Queen and the Pilot building on the corner of Chetco (the main drag or highway 101) and Oak Street.  Take Oak Street up the hill to the high school.  Take the jog right and then immediate left onto Pioneer Road and continue past the high school up the hill to Hassett Street.  Take a left on Hassett to 7th Street and then a right on 7th Street, which will take you all the way to the cemetery.  If for some reason you are having trouble finding it, just call me at (541) 661-1193.
