This Week at Beth Shalom

We will greet shabbat with services at 7 P.M. Friday at the temple, 956 J Street in Crescent City.

Torah study continues Saturday from 4:30 to 6 P.M. at the temple. This week we read Vayakhel- Pekude, Exodus 35:2-40:38. This is the end of the book of Exodus.

Services and Torah study are open to all. Much of the service is in Hebrew with translation and transliteration available; Torah study is in English.

Passover begins Friday night, April 6, and lasts seven days for Reform Jews and those in Israel, eight days for Conservative and Orthodox Jews living outside Israel. Plans are underway for our annual temple seder sometime during that week. More news will be available soon.

If you have comments, questions or advice, want to plan or organize a program, help with the seder, or wish to be an officer of the congregation, send us a note atdelnortebethshalom@gmail.com or by U.S. Mail at P.O. Box 1557, Crescent City, CA 95531. We do not receive mail at the J Street address. We also have a blog at http://templebethshalom.blogspot.com. The blog contains this message and also candle-lighting times for shabbat.

I look forward to seeing some of you this weekend.
