Simchat Torah

We will celebrate Simchat Torah this Friday at the temple, 956 J Street in Crescent City at 7 P.M. This is the holiday when we finish and begin again to read the Torah scroll, ending Deuteronomy and beginning Genesis again. It should be a joyous time. Torah study begins again on Saturday afternoon at 4:30. We will read from Genesis 1:1, some of the most interesting stories in the Bible, including creation, the Garden of Eden and the story of Cain and Abel. Please join us. I'm hoping everyone has had a joyous Sukkot so far. We are still looking for volunteer service leaders.
