Although some people have family and friends celebrating other holidays this weekend, we Jews will celebrate Shabbat as usual Friday night and Saturday morning. Services will be held at 7 PM Friday at the temple, 956 J St in Crescent City.
Torah study continues Saturday morning from 10 AM to noon. We will be reading Sh'mot, the first section of the Book of Exodus, 1:1- 6:1.
Services next week, the secular new year, will be at 6 instead of 7. We will then adjourn to a restaurant for dinner as a group.
