Yithro summarized

This week we read about Moses' father-in-law, Yithro (Jethro), advising Moses to delegate his work of judging the people's disputes to a hierarchy of elders so that he can concentrate on leading the Israelites.
Moses then leads our ancestors to camp near Mt. Sinai and we witness the giving of The Ten Commandments.
So, this is a pretty important episode in our annual reading. You can find more eloquent and detailed discussion of this parshah at http://www.chabad.org.
We are also planning an unofficial reading of this Torah Portion in Crescent City on wednesday night to which all are welcome, call me at 707.954.6559 or email me at cooperdavidc@gmail.com for details.
